SOSA AWARDS:
The SOSA Awards were established in 2009 by Jubawood Entertainment & Productions to celebrate Southern Sudanese and other minorities in music, acting, sports and any other fields of Entertainment.SOSA Awards aims to expose the richness of Southern Sudanese art and culture to a wider audience in U.S.A and the rest of the world. The awards are presented annually.
OBJECTIVES:
SOSA Awards' objectives are first of all, to promote Southern Sudanese Artists and their works internationally. Subsequently to unite Southern Sudanese People and its Diaspora through music and the arts. Finally, to Produce a world-class show that portrays a positive image of South Sudan.
Lifetime Achievement & Humanitarian:
The SOSA AWARDS Lifetime Achievement and Humanitarian Award receipients, along with the nominees for other categories are announced at SOSA Awards ceremony. At the awards ceremony a mini-documantary is shown covering the honoree's life and activity. The awards are given out separately. The SOSA Lifetime Achievement and Humanitarian Award are given to every Southern Sudanese who is known fo his/her notable contributions to Southern Sudanese Community.
THE CEREMONY:
The winners in each of the categories are announced on the night of the event during the show. The ceremony also showcases some of Southern Sudanese and Africa's best performances and brings the cream of Southern Sudanese artists together under one roof.
